Dr.Thomas has lectured and consulted at the senior management level to a wide range of corporations and professional and trade associations on the management of emerging information technologies and the Internet, including the EG&G Corporation, North eastern University, AT&T, the Information Industry Association, the Global Alliance of Information Industry Associations, the Decision Sciences Institute, the Associated Industries of Massachusetts, the Strategic Management Society, L.M, Ericsson, Scientific Atlanta, the Harris Corporation, and the Boston Globe. He has also held a consulting position as a Partner in The Task Group. Dr.Thomas is a Board Member of Citysource, Inc., developers of MeetingWeb™and EventKiosk™, a suite of Internet-based electronic conferencing applications. He has been actively involved in the design of MeetingWeb™ and its implementation at several universities and corporations. Prior to joining the Northeastern faculty, he held clinical and research appointments in the Department of Psychiatry, Harvard University. He has published in the Journal of Global Information Management, the Proceedings of the Society of Competitive Intelligence Professionals and elsewhere. He is a member of several professional associations, including the Academy of Management, the Information Industry Association, the Strategic Management Society and the Massachusetts Interactive Media Council. Dr.Thomas is a recent recipient of Northeastern University's Excellence in Teaching Award.

Dr.Thomas
is a Senior Consulting Associate of Global Resources where
he has designed and taught executive and staff level courses in
the areas of global management and information technologies. Dr.
Thomas specializes in the management and social implications of
global electronic business and competitive strategy for Internet-based
enterprises. He has been a faculty member of the College of Business
Administration, Northeastern University since 1988. He is a former
Chair of the Information Technology Task Force at the College,
where he developed innovative initiatives in Internet-based distributed
learning and collaborative groupwork and co-authored a comprehensive
information technology strategy for the University. Dr. Thomas
has been a visiting faculty member at the AT&T School of Business
and the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University.
He has lived and worked for several years in Eastern and Western
Europe, including Yugoslavia, Italy, and Germany. Dr. Thomas received
his Ph.D. from Harvard University and his B.A. from Swarthmore
College.
