Di
Landau is President of Global Resources. Her expertise is in telecommunications
and information technology business planning and project management,
particularly in developing and emerging nations.
Ms.
Landau brings close to twenty years of experience to the field.
Her consulting and training activities have included work with
the Agence des Telecommunications de Cote d'Ivoire, AT&T, British
Telecom, the Center for Telecommunications Management at the University
of Southern California, Coopers & Lybrand, Ericsson, Lucent Technologies,
Telecomunicacoes de Mocambique, Ultrapro International, Inc.,
the U.S. Telecommunications Training Institute, U.S. Trade and
Development Agency, World Bank, the World Trade Institute, among
other international clients. Ms. Landau has analyzed, planned
and managed projects in over forty countries, most recently working
with government clients in Cote d'Ivoire, China, Jordan, Malaysia,
Mauritius, the Philippines, and Poland. She has designed and managed
business and infrastructure development projects involving partnerships
between public and private sector organizations, consortiums,
non-governmental organizations (NGOs), international banks, and
funding institutions. Ms. Landau has trained senior government
officials and private sector managers from over sixty developing
and emerging nations in telecommunications privatization planning
and management, international business concepts, and strategic
business planning techniques. Her field experience includes work
in Africa, the Baltic Region, Central and Southeast Asia, Central
and Eastern Europe, the FSU, and the Middle East.
Her
corporate experience includes six years with AT&T Network
Systems (now Lucent Technologies), where she served as Regional
Strategy and Business Development Manager for Africa, India and
the Middle East. In this role, she was responsible for developing
country-specific business growth plans and implementing a range
of global business investments. As Senior Market Planner for Asia,
she conducted market research studies and established contacts
for AT&T Network System's launch into India, resulting in
AT&T's first technology transfer agreement to the Subcontinent
and the Corporation's commitment to open an office in New Delhi.
Her
academic background includes a Bachelor of Science degree from
Northwestern University and a Masters Degree from Harvard
University's Kennedy School of Government; her degrees include
coursework at MIT and Harvard Business School in addition to her
technical telecommunications training. Ms. Landau speaks and reads
French, is a member of several international development organizations,
and serves as a guest instructor at the University of California-Irvine's
Graduate School of Management.
Ms.
Landau is the developer and a co-author of Chronicles of Corporate
Change: Management Lessons from AT&T and Its Offspring, a
management book focusing on the managerial and leadership challenges
facing institutions adapting from a regulated to a competitive
industry environment.
